By accessing or using Family Next Step, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

1. What Family Next Step is

If you have concerns about a child’s health, development, learning, safety, or mental health, please consult a qualified professional.

6. AI-generated content

Family Next Step uses AI to generate responses and Next Step Plans.

AI-generated content may be:

  • incomplete;
  • inaccurate;
  • outdated;
  • inappropriate for your situation;
  • too general;
  • culturally or contextually unsuitable;
  • or otherwise not useful.

You should review AI-generated content carefully before relying on it.

You should not treat AI output as professional advice or as a definitive answer.

We may update, modify, improve, or replace the AI models and systems used by Family Next Step over time.

7. AI transparency

When using Family Next Step, you are interacting with an AI-guided tool.

Some responses are generated by AI systems.

Some parts of the service may use automated safety checks, routing, summarization, or report generation.

We may use third-party AI providers or AI infrastructure providers to operate the service.

For more information about how information is processed, please review our Privacy Policy.

8. Family topics and user language

In the product interface, we may use terms such as:

  • “family situation”;
  • “family topic”;
  • “Next Step Plan”;
  • “guided plan.”

Internally, our systems may use terms such as “concern” or “concern_id” to manage records.

These terms refer to the family situation or topic you choose to discuss through the service.

9. Your responsibility when using the service

You are responsible for:

  • the information you choose to submit;
  • protecting the privacy of children and family members;
  • reviewing AI-generated content before using it;
  • deciding whether to seek professional help;
  • complying with applicable laws;
  • and using Family Next Step in a safe and appropriate way.

You should avoid submitting unnecessary identifying information, including:

  • a child’s full name;
  • school name;
  • home address;
  • exact location;
  • ID numbers;
  • medical records;
  • photos;
  • recordings;
  • or other information that directly identifies a child or family member.

10. Accounts

You may start your first guided plan without creating an account.

If you want to save a plan, continue refining a family topic, view history, or start another family topic, you may need to create an account.

When creating or using an account, you agree to:

  • provide accurate information;
  • use an email address you are authorized to use;
  • keep your sign-in method secure;
  • not share your account with unauthorized users;
  • and notify us if you believe your account has been misused.

We may use email verification codes, magic links, or similar passwordless login methods.

You are responsible for all activity under your account.

11. Anonymous use

Family Next Step may allow you to start your first guided plan without an account.

Anonymous access may be limited by:

  • session duration;
  • number of family topics;
  • ability to save or continue;
  • access to history;
  • and availability of generated reports.

If your anonymous session expires, you may lose access to your unsaved family topic, conversation, or plan.

To save or continue a family topic, you may need to create an account.

12. Free first guided plan

Family Next Step may offer one free guided plan for your first family topic.

The free first guided plan may include:

  • describing one family situation;
  • answering guided questions;
  • receiving AI-guided responses;
  • generating one Next Step Plan;
  • and viewing the plan for a limited time.

The free first guided plan may not include:

  • long-term storage;
  • unlimited follow-up conversation;
  • additional family topics;
  • cross-device access;
  • or account-level history unless you create an account.

We may change, limit, suspend, or discontinue free access at any time.

13. Paid guided plans

To start another family topic after your free first guided plan, you may need to purchase another guided plan.

A paid guided plan may provide:

  • a guided conversation for one new family topic;
  • generation of a Next Step Plan;
  • the ability to save and continue that topic if you are signed in;
  • and related account features.

Unless otherwise stated, a paid guided plan applies to one family topic only.

Continuing or refining the same family topic may not require a new purchase, subject to fair use limits and service rules.

Starting a new family topic may require another guided plan credit.

14. Plan credits

Family Next Step may use guided plan credits to manage access to new family topics.

A guided plan credit may allow you to create one new family topic.

Credits may be:

  • free;
  • paid;
  • promotional;
  • granted by us;
  • revoked;
  • expired;
  • or adjusted in connection with refunds or misuse.

We may set rules for credit expiration, use, transferability, and eligibility.

Unless we state otherwise, credits are not transferable and may not be exchanged for cash.

15. Prices and payment

Prices may be displayed before purchase.

Payment may be processed by third-party payment providers.

By making a purchase, you agree to:

  • pay the displayed price;
  • provide accurate payment information;
  • comply with the payment provider’s terms;
  • and authorize the payment provider to charge the selected payment method.

Family Next Step does not store your full card details.

Taxes, fees, currency conversion charges, or payment provider charges may apply depending on your location and payment method.

We may change prices at any time, but price changes will not affect purchases already completed.

16. Refunds

Refund availability may depend on:

  • whether the purchase was completed by mistake;
  • whether a guided plan credit has been used;
  • applicable law;
  • payment provider rules;
  • technical errors;
  • duplicate charges;
  • or misuse of the service.

If you believe there was a payment error, please contact us at:

[support@familynextstep.com]

We do not guarantee refunds in every case.

If a refund is issued, we may revoke or adjust the related guided plan credit.

17. Subscriptions

Family Next Step may initially offer pay-per-guided-plan purchases rather than subscriptions.

If we later offer subscriptions, additional subscription terms may apply, including renewal, cancellation, billing cycle, and refund rules.

We will provide those terms before you purchase a subscription.

18. User feedback and issue reporting

Family Next Step may allow you to report or flag AI-generated content.

You may see options such as:

  • “Flag this response”;
  • “Report an issue”;
  • or similar feedback tools.

You may use these tools to report AI output that you believe is:

  • inaccurate or unhelpful;
  • unsafe;
  • too harsh or judgmental;
  • making a medical or diagnostic claim;
  • raising a privacy concern;
  • or otherwise inappropriate.

We may use your feedback to improve service quality, safety, reliability, and user experience.

We may not respond individually to every feedback submission.

Feedback tools are not emergency channels. If there is immediate danger, contact local emergency services or qualified real-world support.
